My first commission, Hot Takes for BBC Radio Ulster in 2026

One of the projects I’m proudest of is Hot Takes, a comedy panel show I created and produced for BBC Radio Ulster and BBC Sounds. Hosted by Paddy Raff, with team captains Emer Maguire and Michael Fry, the show grew from a daft idea about ridiculous opinions, arguments and local “hot takes” into a pilot and then a full seven-part series. Across the series we were joined by brilliant guests including Carl Frampton, Andrew Trimble, Darragh Ennis and Diane Carson, as we asked what people in Northern Ireland really think about everything from everyday annoyances to big cultural debates. It was a joy to help shape the format, write the rounds and build a show full of comedy, pop culture, Belfast wit and proper panel show energy.
